The Accelerated Delivery Platform (ADP) is an agile open-knowledge, open-tools software development platform that you can apply to speed up your own projects efficiently. First step in applying agile and ADP to your projects is to warm up your organization.
Getting started with agile and ADP¶
Having done this process numerous times, the members of the ADP Core Team can help you get on your way, using this straightforward (default) plan:
- Present agile and ADP. Do a introductory presentation on agile and ADP. This presentation can even be organized online, with all responsible people present, through any of the available media. However, an onsite presentation is more efficient and thus preferable. All members of the ADP Core Team are able to do such presentations.
- Investiage use of agile and ADP. Investigate how agile and the accelerators from the ADP can be used in your projects. A quick scan can easily be performed in one or two days. Your project will need limited budget for this quick scan.
- Do the training. If there is a match, the team could be trained the accelerators from the ADP that are applicable – that is, in the accelerators of the platform that match the project at hand. Members from the ADP Core Team can train your project team(s). There is a large number of trainings available. If abroad, these trainings can even be performed during the same visit as the previous activity – we have all training material available online. There is a fixed price per training day (independent of team size, up to 20 people), preparation and travel expenses not included. We expect that depending on the roles in the projects, and the accelerators used, a 2 to 4 day training will be sufficient to kick-off an ADP project.
- Coaching. Have some initial coaching to help you get started. Depending on your team’s experience, on average, you will be able to run the project with limited coaching.
- Contribute. Of course, we hope that you will be able to contribute to the platform soon! Use of frameworks, code generators and all knowledge is free of charge.
