The requirements analyst is responsible for all analysis that leads up to the composition of the use case model. The requirements for a project can come from various sources, such as business processes, existing applications, proposals or workshops. The requirements analyst delivers the smart use cases. Because of the large amount of yet unknown business processes, forms and smart use cases in such projects, the requirements analysis is sometimes placed in a separate stream, that delivers smart use cases to the main (development) stream as soon as possible, on an iterative basis.
