A pragmatic approach for requirements
Requirements management in practice/ smart use cases
About two third of all automation projects worldwide fail. The most important reason for this is the unclear, wrong of unsufficient specification of requirements. Many projects trust use cases for requirements. Capgemini has a lot of experience with smart use cases and has enriched this technique with the understanding of smart use cases. Smart use cases act as an excellent unit of work in projects. An increasing number of organisations are using therefore using this.
Smart use cases make requirements tangible, simple and moreover easy to estimate and to test because they are a strong standardized form of use cases. The limited size and equal granularity are characteristic for smart use cases. Modelling with smart use cases brings multiple benefits, under which more structured and standardized requirements, realistic estimation of projects and being able to test requirements correctly.
On the 28th of May Capgemini organises a conference about smart use cases and requirements management. The goal of the conference is to introduce the possibilities of smart use cases to you. We would like to do this through going into the indentification, modelling and estimation of smart use cases and the use in different type of projects, like .Net, Java, but as well BI and SAP. The implementation of smart use cases in IRMA (the requirements methodology of Capgemini) will next to this be discussed just like multiple experiences of customers.
You are more than welcome to attend this conference!!

Requirements management Capgemini
IRMA (Integrated Requirements Management Approach) is Capgemini's standardised approach for the detection, description and administration of requirements in IT-projects. IRMA unites the best from standard requirements approaches (RUP, Volére, SAPDeliver) with proofed best practices from Capgemini like smart use cases.
Conference speakers
Speakers on the conference are Ron Tolido(CTO Capgemini Netherlands), Sander Hoogendoorn (Principal Technology Officer Capgemini Netherlands) and speakers from multiple organisations who have used smart use cases, like Achmea and MediaMine. More information about the speakers is listed below.
Meant for you
The conference is intended for managers and employees of customers that are working with, and perhaps have challanges with requirements, like IT managers, project managers and program managers, business- and information- analists. De conference will take place in the congress centre of Capgemini - Papendorp in Utrecht.

BI projects are highly dynamic and can benefit massively from frequent customer feedback. Thus, applying an agile approach to these projects is most natural. During this interactive talk Sandra Wennemers will demonstrate how agile software development matches BI, and how UML modelling can serve in designing and planning such projects.

Introduction in IRMA and the part that smart use cases have in this methodology.
Smart use cases and Rapid solutions workshops: Rapid Solutions Workshops (RSWs) are a collection of workshops which are designed to accellerate all phases of a system development- or the implementation of software packages.
A series of RSWs is also called a RSW factory.
Using iterative and parallel working within the Rapid Solutions Workshop a dramatic accelleration is offered in the most important phases, for example the requirements phase, of a project.
